A student that completes all the academic sections and pool\/confined water sessions for the Open Water Diver program can be issued the Referral Diver digital card with the intent of completing their open water training dives at a later date and\/or with another dive center\/resort.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-57305\" src=\"https:\/\/happybubbles.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/referral-1-300x191.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"191\" srcset=\"https:\/\/happybubbles.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/referral-1-300x191.png 300w, https:\/\/happybubbles.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/referral-1-768x488.png 768w, https:\/\/happybubbles.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/referral-1-551x350.png 551w, https:\/\/happybubbles.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/referral-1-512x325.png 512w, https:\/\/happybubbles.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/referral-1.png 800w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>REQUIREMENTS FOR COMPLETION<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Complete all academic sections and assessments outlined in the Open Water Instructor Manual.<\/li>\n<li>Complete an Open Water Diver final exam with a passing score of 80%.<\/li>\n<li>Complete all pool\/confined water sessions and skill evaluations outlined in the Open Water Instructor Manual.<\/li>\n<li>Complete the water skills evaluation outlined in the Open Water Instructor Manual.<\/li>\n<li>Water skills evaluations must be completed before participating in any open water training dives.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>CERTIFICATION<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Upon completion of all academic and pool\/confined water requirements, including water skills evaluation and final exam, an Open Water Instructor or higher must issue a digital Referral Diver certification card.<\/li>\n<li>Certified Referral Divers may dive autonomously with an equally- or more-qualified buddy in a pool equivalent with their training.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>UPGRADES<\/p>\n<p>To upgrade a Referral Diver to Scuba Diver, Indoor Diver or Open Water Diver:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The SSI Instructor completing the open water training dives must upgrade the student in ODiN in order for them to receive their digital certification card.<\/li>\n<li>Open water training dives for all SSI programs are required to be completed within six (6) months of the last academic or in-water training session.<\/li>\n<li>If it has been more than six (6) months from the issue date of the Referral Diver certification, an SSI Dive Professional must conduct a re-evaluation (both knowledge and skill review) to determine if the student is sufficiently proficient to continue to the open water training dives.<\/li>\n<li>If it has been more than 12 months since the student&#8217;s last in-water session, the student must complete a Scuba Skills Update and re-take and pass the Open Water Diver final exam.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>SSI REFERRAL DIVER COURSE The SSI Referral Diver program is intended to provide students with the knowledge and training necessary to dive autonomously with an equally- or more-qualified buddy in a pool equivalent with their &hellip;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":0,"parent":0,"menu_order":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","template":"","meta":{"footnotes":""},"class_list":["post-1627","page","type-page","status-publish","hentry"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.1.1 - https:\/\/yoast.com\/product\/yoast-seo-wordpress\/ -->\n<title>SSI Referral Diver Course &#187;
