SG 115 is an old coast guard ship that was sunk by BOSAD in 2007 to be an artificial reef around Black Island. After leaving the rocky coastline, across the Neptune grass, SG 115 looms in the distance. The stern is at 17 m deep and the bow is at 26m.
Squid eggs grow on the mast. Depending on the time of the season schools of jackfish and barracudas may be encountered. Around the wreck, you can spot groupers and other local fish.
The location’s attractions is the right wall. Always very rich in local fish and there may be sightings of jacks, dentexes, dusky groupers, send groupers, barracudas and meagers. Depending on the time of the season tiny critters like nudibrances and sea slugs, octopuses, murray eels and some crustecia will be hidden under the rocks. SG right wall is also very interesting site for night dives. Protected bay is suitable for dive boot moorings and the spot is almost the closest point to the marinas.
